Bob is a Native Floridian currently residing in North Georgia. Sharing life with him in this quiet, mountain setting is his wife, Sharon, and their pets: a pair of Tennessee walkers—P.J. and Tony. Life is quieter now, but it was not always this way. "As a kid I held no dream of growing up to do one thing or another. Actually, I wanted to do it all, a position that often led someone to say, 'You can't do that.' But I never listened to naysayers. Instead, when something caught my eye, I set a goal and worked until I succeeded." After high school Bob joined the Air Force and served a four-year enlistment that included two tours of duty in the Far East as a member of the Strategic Air Command. Returning to civilian life, he worked at a number of trades before setting his sights on construction with the aim of becoming a general contractor. "My goal, to quiet those who said I couldn't do it, was not only to succeed but also to retire by age 45." Bob reached his goal two years early, built a forty-foot sailboat, and began a five-year cruise of the Caribbean. It was during this time when he met another boater who worked part time as a writer. "The guy made a few bucks and it looked easy, so I gave it a try. I quickly found that writing was anything but easy, so I set an open-ended goal to learn to write well. That was two decades ago. I'm still at it." <><><><><>
